‘Stay out of fire area’: Buckley Draw Fire nearly doubles in size
UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Fire crews responded to a new fire start just north of Springville on Sunday. Dubbed the “Buckley Draw Fire,” the blaze has since nearly doubled in size overnight.
The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest said the fire is located west of Kyhv Peak Road, burning in Buckley Draw Canyon. The blaze is burning in dry brush in grass in the area, with winds pushing the fire up the mountain Sunday night.
The fire was estimated at around 250 acres Sunday evening. Officials said it has grown to over 400 acres overnight.
