ST. GEORGE, Utah (
ABC4) — Police are identifying a St. George man who passed away from a collision with a construction vehicle on I-15 in rural Nevada last month.
On July 31, 2025, just before 7 a.m., William Rance Bill, 22, of St. George, succumbed to injuries he sustained from a crash with a construction vehicle. The crash occurred near mile marker 106, about 11 miles south of Mesquite, Nevada, according to Nevada State Police.
Police say Bill was driving southbound on I-15 in a 2022 Kia Forte. Due to road construction, crews were in the process of putting up signage. One construction worker had left his 2024 Isuzu cone truck to put up construction signs when Bill collided with the cone truck.
According to Nevada State Police, Bill failed to “obey the move over law” when approaching a highway maintenance vehicle, leading to the crash. Bill passed away at the scene.
A passenger of the Kia was also transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Nevada State Police Highway Patrol’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.
