PHOTOS: Firemen’s Convention wraps up with parade through Frackville
FRACKVILLE – Hundreds lined the streets of the mountain city Saturday as one of the largest annual parades in Schuylkill County took place.
The parade marked the end of the Schuylkill County Firemen’s Convention, which returned north of the mountain this year.

It marked the centennial of the Friendship Fire Co. in the Englewood section of Butler Township.

Nearly every piece of apparatus from the Shenandoah Fire Department, as well as a marching contingent, took part. They were awarded best appearing department.
Musical units also took part, including high school marching bands from Shenandoah, North Schuylkill, and Pottsville, as well as the Upper Schuylkill Marching Band, the Shenandoah All-Star Polka Band, and the Rajah Shriners.
ENGLEWOOD – The Schuylkill County Firemen’s Association Convention is up north this year as the Friendship Fire Co. of Englewood plays host as they celebrate their centennial.
