The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department said officers were dispatched around 1:30 p.m., near Waterworks Road outside of London, because a woman allegedly refused to leave a business.
According to an arrest citation, officers told 48-year-old Shawna Lemaster, of London, that she had some warrants and would need to go with them. She reportedly refused to go with them, lying down on a bed and kicking.
The citation said Lemaster allegedly managed to kick one officer in the groin and punch them in the arm. She also allegedly told one officer they would die for putting cuffs on her.
Lemaster was charged with third-degree assault (police officer), second-degree terroristic threatening, and resisting arrest and was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
