Dixon bar fight led to homicide, suspect at large

(KRON) – The Dixon Police Department is searching for a man in connection with a physical altercation at a bar that escalated into a homicide. 

At approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, Dixon police officers responded to a bar fight at Luke’s Lounge on North First Street. 

Arriving officers located 21-year-old Vacaville resident Kane Nishimoto, who police say was “suffering from critical injuries to his torso.” Nishimoto was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Per police investigation, Nishimoto and a man named Brian Sweeney had a physical altercation that led to Nishimoto’s death. 

Sweeney, 44, has been declared a person of interest in this case. Police are looking for Sweeney and are asking anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact the Dixon Police Department at 707-678-7080 or investigations@dixonpoliceca.org
