BIG COUNTRY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Six counties in the Big Country are under a burn ban, even though the Big Country is still drought-free.
Texas A&M Forest Service has reported that the following counties are currently under a burn ban:
Meteorologists from BigCountryHomepage.com provided an update on the weather conditions and the humidity in the Big Country.
“We’re currently experiencing 53% humidity, and the Big Country remains drought-free, which is a bit surprising for this time of year. However, the recent moisture makes it understandable. We’re still seeing some lingering effects from the Gulf low, and with small chances of rain throughout the week, this should help prevent conditions from drying out,” said KRBC Meteorologist Carter Vandrasik.
