Investigators said the victim reported the invasion of privacy incident to Fremont police on August 11.
“The victim had stepped out of the shower when she noticed a phone camera pointed at her through the bathroom window,” said FPD. “The victim yelled at the subject holding the phone, and the subject fled on foot.”
Fremont PD said an investigation uncovered that the suspect resided in the same Darwin Drive apartment complex as the victim.
Police said the individual was later contacted and taken into custody but did not disclose what charges they face.
KRON4 reached out to the Fremont Police Department for more information but did not hear back in time for this report.
