CHICAGO — One of the first trans-focused 5K races is taking place along Chicago’s lakefront on Sunday morning.

Brave Space Alliance is holding its inaugural Dignity Dash for cyclists, walkers and runners. It began at 8:30 a.m. at the AIDS Garden in Lakeview, just south of Belmont Harbor, and turns around at Peace Garden.

Proceeds will benefit LGBTQ+ support services in Chicago.
