ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A woman reported being blocked in at a drive-up ATM before she was robbed in Anne Arundel County on Thursday night, police said.
Around 8 p.m. on Aug. 14, officers responded to the 7700 block of Ritchie Highway for a report of a strong-arm robbery. A 28-year-old woman told investigators that she was withdrawing cash from a drive-up ATM when a man stopped his vehicle in front of her car, blocking her in.
The man got out and proceeded to approach her door. After an argument began, the suspect reached into the vehicle and grabbed her cash, police said.
The man then fled.
After the woman provided officers with the suspect’s vehicle information, they were able to locate him at his residence in Glen Burnie. 34-year-old Erick Metzger was arrested and charged.
