Cass County fire deaths ruled a murder-suicide

Two people who were found dead inside a burning Outing residence died in an apparent murder-suicide.

The new update from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office identified them as 56-year-old Connie Lea Pollock and 63-year-old Jack Eugene Pollock.

An autopsy conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Connie Pollock had died from a gunshot wound to the chest, while Jack Pollock died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities have confirmed it was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

First responders were called to a fire around 2:43 a.m. Wednesday on Shady Lane Northeast in the city of Outing.

While working to extinguish the fire, authorities said they found the bodies of two people, who were later identified as Connie and Jack.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
