A 24-year-old woman received a stayed sentence on Friday for aiding an offender after a murder in Mille Lacs County in March of 2023.
Alexis Marion Elling was ordered to serve nearly five years (57 months) in prison, but that sentence will be stayed for the duration of her five-year probation. Elling was also ordered to serve 324 days in jail, but had credit for 324 days already served.
Prosecutors say she helped Bradley Weyaus Jr., whom she was dating, move a storage container containing the body of 25-year-old Rodney Pendegayosh Jr. of Isle.
