Stolen AC units recovered in Florence, man arrested
RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Rankin County deputies, with assistance from Jackson police, arrested a man after multiple air conditioning units were stolen in the capital city.

Deputies and officers executed a search warrant in the 2600 block of Cleary Road in Florence on August 14, 2025.

Investigator Tyler Burnell, with the Rankin County Sheriff’s office, said they were notified that the AC units had been stolen from an address in Jackson. Through an investigation, they discovered the units were located at an address on Cleary Road.

While at the scene, authorities located numerous AC units that appeared to have been stolen, including the units associated with the address in Jackson.

According to Burnell, Jerry Allen Rawson was arrested for receiving stolen property and transported to the Rankin County Detention Center. His bond has been set at $25,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
