GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Gastonia Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 17-year-old girl who went missing after leaving work.

Emma Grace Galindo was last seen walking away from the Food Lion located on S. New Hope Road. Authorities said she was wearing her work uniform, a black polo shirt and black pants, and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

According to Gastonia Police, while Galindo has run away before, there is growing concern this time that she may be with people she met through a teenage dating app.

Authorities said Galindo was in foster care and is originally from Greensboro. They said she has been in the Gastonia area for about three months.

Galindo is described as having red hair, green eyes, and standing about 5’3” tall. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gastonia Police Department at 704-866-6702.
