Howey spent the last almost 15 years creating new opportunities and expanding companies in and around Shawnee County. She has been named Ingram’s Top 50 Kansans You Should Know
In her new role, Howey hopes to strengthen connections with local government, businesses and organizations to touch all parts of the community.
“We have some really awesome projects bubbling under the surface right now,” Howey told 27 News. “Right now I’m focused on getting those across the finish line, things like housing, quality of place, tourism, and making sure the team has everything they need.”
Currently, GTP is in the middle of the “Momentum 2027 Strategic Plan,” which hopes to unlock growth and economic opportunity for all. And in six months time, Howey and her team will be working on the next big thing at GTP.
