PLAIN DEALING, LA – After three days of intensive searching, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office has suspended the ground search for 32-year-old Cable Tallant, who has been missing for several days near Plain Dealing.
The large-scale search effort included K-9 units, drones, and a helicopter from the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Multiple agencies joined in, including Louisiana State Police, Bossier City Police and Fire Departments, several parish fire departments, Bossier Parish EMT, Bossier Parish 911, ArkLaTex K-9 Search and Rescue, and numerous volunteers.
Despite covering rugged terrain and following all leads, Tallant has not been found.
Sheriff Julian Whittington stated, “This decision was not made lightly. We have put all available resources into the ground search, and while that phase is now suspended, our investigation is far from over. We will continue to run down any and all leads until we find answers for Mr. Tallant’s family.”
Tallant is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 150 pounds.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office at (318) 965-2203.
