The Barbershop Bash is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 23, at Webb’s Barbershop, 401 Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive.
“We encourage everyone to come out and take advantage of these life-saving cancer screenings. We know that early detection is so important when it comes to treating cancer and improving health outcomes. This event could literally save your life,” Renea Duffin, vice president of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, said.
The free event will feature prostate and colorectal cancer screenings, educational resources on prevention and early detection, and a family-friendly atmosphere with food, music, and children’s activities.
The Barbershop Bash is free to the public. Walk-in screenings will be available, but appointments are encouraged. Call 225-425-8034 or click here to book a spot.
