MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A former Chowchilla prison guard was sentenced to over 200 years for sexually assaulting multiple inmates at the facility, the Madera County District Attorney’s Office said on Thursday.

Gregory Rodriguez was sentenced to 224 years in prison for sexually assaulting nine female inmates at the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla, the DA’s office said. He was previously facing more than 70 years in prison.

In January, Rodriguez was found guilty of 64 counts of sexual assault against nine women he oversaw.

The Madera County District Attorney’s Office thanked the victims who came forward and testified at his trial.
