Cable Tallant was last seen on July 31 near Plain Dealing, LA. On August 11, the Chevrolet pickup he was driving was found abandoned in a wooded area near Plain Dealing.
Mr. Tallant is a white male, approximately six feet tall and 150 pounds.
The BPSO established a mobile incident command site at the intersection of Old Plain Dealing Road and Dutch John Road in northern Bossier Parish. The search involved BPSO, K9 units, drones, the Louisiana State Police, a DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office helicopter, other law enforcement and first responder agencies, and volunteers.
The search team traversed rugged terrain, but was unable to locate Mr. Tallant.
Sheriff Julian Whittington said, “This decision was not made lightly. We have put all available resources into the ground search, and while that phase is now suspended, our investigation is far from over. We will continue to run down any and all leads until we find answers for Mr. Tallant’s family.”
