The Brooklyn Center Police Department said a young child was hurt Wednesday morning after he reportedly shot himself in the head.
Police said they were called to the 4200 block of Winchester Lane for a shooting around 12:40 a.m.
When they arrived, police said they found a “semi-unconscious” child who appeared to have a graze wound on his head.
The boy was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to recover.
According to police, they were told that an adult man who lived in the household had a gun in the past. The child, reportedly, had entered the man’s bedroom where he shot himself.
