LaGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — The Troup County Sheriff’s Office says a woman was taken into custody after being accused of shooting her husband in the head.

According to officials, on Monday at 7:50 a.m., Troup County Fire and EMS responded to an emergency call at 196 Chipley Mountville Road.

Upon arrival, an adult male, later identified as Dawendall White, 47, was found unresponsive in his home and bleeding from his head.

White was transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center for treatment and was last listed in critical condition.

On Thursday, Tracy Lynn White was taken into custody in Lee County, Alabama and is charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime and aggravated stalking due to her previous arrest for aggravated assault/family violence in July, according to Troup County authorities.

Troup County Sheriff’s Office says she will be extradited back to Troup County and will be held at the jail, while her husband remains in critical condition at an Atlanta area hospital.
