Three arrested in Mississippi after drugs found in sweet tea jug
PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Pearl River County deputies arrested three suspects after they said drugs were found inside a sweet tea jug.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a maroon SUV in the 1400 block of South Main Street in Poplarville on August 6, 2025, for a traffic violation.

According to investigators, the deputy developed probable cause to search the vehicle. They said the deputy noticed a white plastic bag inside a jug containing Milo’s Sweet Tea. The deputy emptied the tea and recovered two bags containing methamphetamine.

Deputies said Patrick Russell, 33; Briana Harris, 27; and Javaze Bowden, 29, were transported to the Pearl River County Jail. They were charged with tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
