St. Paul Public Schools is holding a hiring fair Thursday, hoping to hire dozens of people.

The school year is set to start on Sept. 2, and there are currently more than 100 job openings. Many of those openings are for paraprofessionals in the district. They’re looking for both education and teaching assistants.

For comparison, Minneapolis Public Schools has 23 positions listed as open on their website for paraprofessionals.

The hiring fair is happening Thursday at the American Indian Magnet School from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Officials say walk-ins are welcome. Get more information on job openings on the SPPS Careers website.
