One dead, another injured in east Topeka shooting

Update 1:20 p.m.: The Topeka Police Department says they were called around 12:16 p.m. to respond to a victim who said they’d been shot. Officers arrived at 12:20 p.m. and found two victims, one deceased. The other individual was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The TPD said they have detectives canvassing the area.

TOPEKA (KSNT)

– The Topeka Police Department is working on what they say is the scene of a homicide in east Topeka.

As of 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, there is a large police presence in the 2400 block of SE Bellview Avenue. Police told a 27 News reporter that the incident is being considered a homicide.
