The Parks and Recreation and Capital Projects Department and Vice Mayor Todd Cimino-Johnson celebrated the themed playground opening at the park.
The playground is designed for children under the age of five. There is a play bus, a giant caterpillar children can climb, slides, a nature clubhouse and much more.
“We are thrilled to open this new playground featuring fun and exciting elements guided by the public’s input,” Parks and Recreation Department Director Rich Williams said. “The new design encourages active play and imagination. It’s an investment in the health and happiness for our community’s youngest residents.”
The new playground is situated between the Ida Lee Park Recreation Center and the A.V. Symington Aquatic Center.
