High waters overtake parts of West Virginia and Ohio

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WOWK) — Several reports of flooding are coming from Lawrence County, Ohio, and Cabell County, West Virginia, Wednesday evening.

The Rome Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page advises people to avoid the 7.9 mile marker of Country Road 107 near Adkins Body Shop as it facing about 3 feet of water. Rome VFD has been dispatched.

In Huntington, Cabell County 911 is reporting flooding on Fifth Avenue from 22nd Street up to Merrill Avenue. Emergency crews are responding. There are also reports of vehicles stalling out in the flood area.
