Fire destroys home in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. — A fire destroyed a home in Putnam County on Wednesday.

According to the Greencastle Fire Department, around 12:58 p.m., GFD was called to assist the Madison Township Fire Department with a structure fire.

When crews arrived, a heavy fire was already coming from the garage and a vehicle in the driveway.

The homeowners were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported, but the home was a “total loss” according to GFD.
