Sticker transponders may be purchased at Harris Teeter by obtaining a Sticker transponder voucher in the gift card section and bringing it to the customer service desk, according to NCDOT.
NCDOT said the Harris Teeter partnership has nearly tripled the number of retailers selling the Sticker transponders.
According to NCDOT, Harris Teeter is the first partner to make Sticker transponders available across North Carolina.
“No matter where you live in North Carolina, purchasing a transponder and saving 50% on all in-state tolls should be quick, easy and convenient,” NC Quick Pass Program Deputy Director Angela Queenland said in a statement. “This partnership reinforces our commitment to expanding customer options and meeting people where they are.”
Danna Robinson, Harris Teeter director of Corporate Affairs and Customer Relations, said in a statement, “Harris Teeter is excited to offer our customers another convenient service right at our stores.
“Harris Teeter customers already enjoy great savings at the pump by using Harris Teeter Fuel Points to save up to $1 per gallon at our Harris Teeter Fuel Centers,” she continued in her statement. “Now, they can also save on tolls by purchasing an NC Quick Pass transponder in-store.”
Sticker transponders must be activated after being purchased, which can be done online.
