Chicopee police state that officers were aware that a vehicle involved in a Springfield shooting may be in their city and located it at a gas station. When officers attempted to box in the vehicle, the driver struck the cruiser and drove back into Springfield.
Police Chief Alaric Fox of Enfield told 22News that when officers used a spike strip on Route 190, the suspects ran away from the vehicle. With the use of drones and police K-9s, the suspects were tracked down and arrested.
The driver was identified as 20-year-old Donovan Marsh and is being held on a $500,000 bond for reckless driving, engaging the police in pursuit, criminal trespass in the third degree, operating a motor vehicle without a license, interfering with an officer, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
The passengers, 22-year-old Jayden Caudle and 22-year-old Aida Laboy, have posted bail and are charged with interfering with police.
