PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — An 18-year-old was charged after a deadly crash on Monday in Prince William County, police said.

Around 4:15 p.m. on Aug. 11, officers responded to the area of Aden Road and Parkgate Drive in Nokesville for a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a Mazda turned left onto Aden Road in front of a motorcyclist.

As a result, the driver of the motorcycle then moved into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Jeep Wrangler.

The motorcyclist died in the hospital, and was identified as 28-year-old Austin Dungan.

Meanwhile, the 43-year-old woman driving the Jeep and a 15-year-old girl, who was a passenger, were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver and a passenger in the Mazda were uninjured and remained at the scene.

18-year-old Luke Altman — who was driving the Mazda — was charged with reckless driving for failing to yield the right away.
