SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A 72-year-old woman who went missing last month has been found deceased.

Just over one week later, on July 18, Ring was found deceased near 11th Avenue and Virginia Street near the Salt Lake City Cemetery, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.

Detective Michael Ruff, with SLCPD, told ABC4.com that Ring’s death is “not considered suspicious” and appears to have been due to natural causes.

Shortly after her disappearance, SLCPD issued a silver alert. “We are deeply concerned about the welfare of this individual,” police said. “We believe this individual may likely be walking and is known to frequent the Mount Olivet Cemetery.”

Police say the final cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner.
