IBC: swXtch.io & Bridge Technologies Expand Media Networking Collaboration

Following a successful NAB Show 2025 demonstration, swXtch.io and Bridge Technologies have extended their collaboration for the monitoring and validation of high value media streams. The evolving partnership is anchored by the launch of integrated media monitoring software from Bridge Technologies deployed on swXtch.io’s cloudSwXtch intelligent media network.

At IBC 2025, (RAI Amsterdam, Sept. 12-15), the two companies will unveil a new go-to-market strategy that includes Bridge’s VB220 IP Network Probes with every cloudSwXtch deployment. The VB220 can be used to analyze JPEG-XS and other compressed transport streams as they move into and through public clouds. Combined with cloudSwXtch’s advanced networking packet and flow tracing, customers can monitor flow QoS and network health.

Visitors to the Bridge Technologies booth (Stand 1.A71), can also see a working demonstration of Bridge’s VB220 IP Probes monitoring media streams from camera sources moving into the cloud. The demo will emphasize the power of Bridge’s real-time monitoring and validation functions across multi-cloud networks. The VB220 is widely used to validate the quality of media streams and identify a wealth of QOE and QOS issues for live workflows.

“Following the overwhelming interest at NAB, we’re thrilled to unveil our expanded VB220 integration with swXtch.io to an international audience at IBC 2025,” said Simen Frostad, Bridge Technologies chairman. “This collaboration proves that the cloud can now deliver the same confidence and control as on-prem solutions. It’s more than validation; it’s a bold step forward, giving broadcasters the freedom to run worldclass workflows anywhere.”

swXtch.io will also demonstrate how users can monitor network performance through the cloudSwXtch wXckdEye user interface, which will complement network statistics and performance indicators for each multicast stream as reported through the VB220.

“The tight integration of the VB220 into the cloudSwXtch product gives our customers the immediate benefit of proven QoS monitoring and quality assurance tools from Bridge Technologies, and a visual representation of the network down to the packet level with wXckdEye,” said Brent Yates, swXtch.io CEO. “The combination of Bridge Technologies and swXtch.io means cloud workflows now have easier and better monitoring solutions than on-prem.”
