It all started on the morning of Aug. 12, when the Arlington Fire and EMS Department were dispatched to the 3700 block of 8th St. S for a fire.
The fire department said crews arrived to find heavy flames coming from the roof. Thick smoke could also be seen billowing into the sky.
Crews were able to rescue a woman who had been trapped in the home on the second floor. She was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
About an hour and a half later, units started to clear the scene.
