ATF, ISP SWAT teams seize 9 pounds of suspected cannabis during Loves Park raid

LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — Illinois State Police (ISP) arrested Trashone Townsend, 30, after they found 9 pounds of suspected cannabis in a Loves Park apartment.

On August 12, ISP SWAT, ISP SLANT and ATF teams searched the apartment in the 5800 block of Birkenshaw Lane.

Townsend was found in the residence, along with two other people, by SWAT officers.

Officials found 9 pounds of suspected cannabis, digital scales and packaging materials during the raid. A portion of the 9 pounds tested positive for THC, according to court records.

Townsend is charged with manufacturing and delivering cannabis.

The suspect’s mugshot was not readily available.
