Arkansas Storm Team Blog: Last 8 PM sunset of the year Tuesday

Even though it still feels like the summer,  signs that fall is fast approaching are here.  One of the first signs that autumn is near is shorter days, and earlier sunsets.  Today, Tuesday, August 12th is our last sunset 8 PM sunset of the year.

Currently, we are losing a little less than 2 minutes of daylight a day. This will slowly increase as we move into fall and winter.

By the beginning of September, our sunset will be around 7:30 PM, by October it will be in the 6 o’clock hour, and it will set in the 5 o’clock hour by late November.
