Texarkana partners donate backpacks to support TASD students

TEXARKANA, Ark. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Texarkana Arkansas School District (TASD) is donating 250 backpacks from Farmers Bank & Trust and the Texarkana Regional Airport (TAR) to support TASD students.

TASD will donate backpacks to students in need to alleviate financial hardships for families, while providing students with the necessary supplies to succeed in the classroom.

“Texarkana Regional Airport is proud to call this region our home, and we want to help our community’s children start the school year ready for takeoff,” said TAR Director Paul Mehrlich. “By partnering with Farmers Bank to provide backpacks, we’re making sure students have what they need to soar through the year.”
