Multiple vehicles, box truck collide on I-495 in Montgomery County; 1 taken to hospital

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A person was taken to the hospital Monday morning after multiple vehicles, including a box truck, collided on the Capital Beltway in Montgomery County.

Details about what led up to the crash are limited; however, Maryland State Police told DC News Now that troopers were called to the outer loop of Interstate 495 around 6 a.m. on Aug. 11 for a crash.

The collision involved four vehicles and a box truck and took place near Georgia Avenue.

Medics took one person to the hospital for treatment, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.
