Located at milepost 297, officials with the Blue Ridge Parkway said this popular campground is ready just in time for late-summer and fall adventures.
Reservations are required this season. You can book your spot at recreation.gov. The comfort station in Loop A will be open, but officials said the shower building is still out of service.
This partial reopening is thanks to the hard work of arborist crews from Rocky Mountain and Great Smoky Mountains National Parks, along with Blue Ridge Parkway staff and volunteers, who spent months clearing debris and removing hazard trees, officials said.
Other Blue Ridge Parkway campgrounds are also open:
Parkway officials said Price Lake Trail is open, but hikers should use caution as some trails still have debris, washouts, or damaged bridges from past storms.
