Mandeville man sentenced to 45 years in child porn case

MANDEVILLE, La. (WGNO) — A Mandeville man was sentenced to 45 years in prison on July 28 following a child pornography investigation.

According to District Attorney Collin Sims, agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation began looking into 38-year-old Jason Quinn Lee after they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that child sexual abuse images were uploaded through a Tumblr account associated with Lee’s Mandeville address.

Officials say that when they arrived at Lee’s home to execute a search warrant, they found him outside. When questioned, Lee reportedly admitted to using a cloud-based storage site out of New Zealand to store the child sexual abuse images, which he got from Tumblr.

Of the hundreds of images and videos in his account, a “vast” amount of them reportedly showed adults engaged in sexual acts with children ranging from newborns to preteens, with others showing young children in explicit poses.

Lee was found guilty on 500 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles, 450 of which involved children under the age of 13. For those 450, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Lee was sentenced to 15 years on the remaining 50 counts, totaling 45 years to be served consecutively without parole.
