According to officials, Troup County Fire and EMS responded to an emergency call on Chipley Mountville Road on August 11 at 7:50 a.m. Upon arrival, an adult male, later identified as Dawendall White, 47, was found unresponsive in his home and bleeding from his head.
White was transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center for treatment and was last listed in critical condition.
Troup County Fire and EMS requested sheriff’s office personnel to the scene of the incident as they do believe a crime may have occurred. Investigators say they currently do not believe there is a threat to the community.
