According to Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, 28-year-old Santino Bellucci of Dickson City was sentenced to 252 months for conspiracy to distribute and possess oxycodone and 40 grams or more of fentanyl resulting in death.
Between January 2022 and February 2023, Bellucci and others schemed to distribute various drugs throughout Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties, investigators reported.
In December 2022, authorities reported that Bellucci sold a person pills and a lethal dose of fentanyl, which caused the victim’s death.
Detectives noted that at the time of the incident, Bellucci was working as a correctional officer at a county facility.
The FBI and the Dunmore Police Department investigated this case.
