LAFAYETTE, La. (
KLFY) — Tickets are now on sale for United Way of Acadiana’s first annual Rhinestone Rodeo Gala – A Tribute to Dolly.
The gala aims to raise funds to support youth opportunity and literacy development, benefiting children in the parishes they serve: Acadia, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Martin and Vermilion according to Judi LeJeune, Director of Marketing at Home Bank.
“The Youth Opportunity and Literacy Initiative is especially meaningful to us, as we believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive with the support of their community,” LeJeune said.
Funds raised during the Rhinestone Rodeo Gala will benefit United Way of Acadiana’s youth opportunity programs, such as Resources for Developing Minds, Early Head Start and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library according to Heather Blanchard, President/CEO of United Way of Acadiana.
“What could be more fun than a party with a Dolly Parton theme?” Blanchard said. “With her work to support early childhood literacy, it seemed a perfect tie in for this event that will help us continue, and even expand, our own work in early childhood development and literacy.”
The event will be held on Sept. 18 at Warehouse 535 in Lafayette, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Individual tickets and tables for the Rhinestone Rodeo Gala are currently available for purchase at unitedwayofacadiana.org/rhinestonerodeo.
