Chef Nick Wallace is serving breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Hen & Egg, which is located at the Sun-n-Sand Motor Hotel. The menu features Southern classics, as well as fresh pressed juices and special jams.

Wallace said he was inspired by cooking with his grandmother.

“Everything was all about preservation. You’re going to be able to see a lot of that. And to a lot of our food, we’re really focused on preservation. And I’m telling you, when I first had my homemade biscuit with that jam and a little bit of that pickle sauce, they had that crispy chicken on it, I fell in love with my grandmother all over again. So, that’s what we want for here. And when you eat our food, we want you to fall in love with us every single time you come in here. It is a new way of love,” the chef said.

The hours for Hen & Egg will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
