The Cook County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday, July 21, sheriff’s police investigators learned two women stole merchandise from an Alo store in Skokie and left the store in a black Chevrolet with no registration.
Later that same day, sheriff’s police pulled over a black Chevrolet in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood for not having registration. While searching the vehicle, investigators found bags containing Alo and Lululemon merchandise with sensors still attached, according to officials.
Police took the male driver and two female passengers into custody.
Detectives identified the two women as 20-year-old Tekiah White and 22-year-old Breauna Martin. They then discovered both White and Martin were involved in previous retail thefts at Ulta stores in Chicago and River Forest. They also learned White and the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 22-year-old Tyshun Williams, were involved in previous thefts at a Lululemon store on Rush Street in Chicago, according to investigators.
White and Martin were each charged with three counts of felony retail theft, while Williams was charged with one count of felony retail theft.
All three were ordered released from custody at their initial court appearance.
