Oakland Police Department officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 500 block of Aileen Street at around 2 p.m., where officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wound(s). Paramedics were summoned and pronounced the victim deceased.
The victim’s identity will be withheld until the next of kin is notified.
Police said a person was taken into custody in relation to the shooting.

Police also request that anyone who has photos or videos that will assist with the investigation send them to cidvideos@oaklandca.gov.
