The Lawrence Police Department (LPD) reports in a social media post that officers were called around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10 to a home near the intersection of West 21st and Louisiana Street. Police arriving at the scene learned that two girls were sleeping in a nearby home during a slumber party on a couch when they woke up to find a naked man within the residence.
A man inside the home forced the alleged intruder outside of the house before police arrived. Law enforcement arrived and arrested the naked man while other officers worked to figure out what happened and calm down the residents of the home.
The LPD said the naked man appeared to be under the influence of drugs at the time of his arrest and do not think he personally knew anyone inside the home. Officers took him to the Douglas County Correctional Facility on several charges.
