Man injured in Woodbridge shooting; suspect arrested

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Aug. 10, officers responded to the 1300 block of Bayside Ave. for a reported shooting. There, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Police noted that the man’s injuries were non-life-threatening, but that residents could expect a continued police presence in the area as the on-scene investigation continued.

On Sunday morning, PWCPD spokesperson Jonathan Perok told DC News Now that officers arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting, which was “not random.”

At this time, police have not released the suspect’s name or disclosed any charges.
