“Top 44, I officially get to say I am a quarterfinalist and I am 43 people away from my whole life changing, I mean it has changed, I just mean 44 people away from bragging rights forever and a million dollars,” said Mama Duke.
In June, she made her AGT debut by performing ‘Feels So Good To Be You’ in the audition portion of the competition.
After getting the nod from all the judges she said her music has taken off and her social media followers have taken off too.
“That song obviously changed my life, I went to sleep with 1,000 followers on Tik Tok and woke up with like 200 plus thousand followers, I think it is at 2 million streams right now and so yea man, it is you know, it has been amazing.”
What’s next for Mama Duke?
“What is cool about being on a show is, if you asked me 3 months ago what is next, I could list off things, it is really cool just to focus on one thing,” said Mama Duke. “As a starving artist we are scrambling, it is so cool to just be like, I am just worried about my next song, which is essentially another audition, now everyone, now America is voting. We got past Simon and now we need people to vote.”
Mama Duke said the quarterfinals will be on August 26th and she needs Austin to show up and vote.
