Elderly man hit, killed by bulldozer in Wood County
WALKER, W.Va. (WBOY) — An elderly man was killed last week in what officials in Wood County are describing as an accident involving a bulldozer.

According to a release put out Monday, Aug. 11, by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, on Aug. 8 at 12:25 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to 403 Blue Creek Road in the rural Walker area of the county for a report of a man being run over by a bulldozer.

When crews arrived, they said they found that Ronnie Paul Fleming, 82, of Walker, had died as a result of an accident involving the dozer. Fleming’s body was taken to Leavitt’s Funeral Home.

Crews with Camden Clark EMS, Wood County Sheriff’s Office and Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
