The VECTR (Veterans Education Career Transition Resource) Center will serve as a transformative hub for workforce development, career training, and veteran support services in the Chattahoochee Valley region.
According to CTC, the center is designed to provide high-demand careers and expand access to short-term technical programs for transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, and the broader community.
“This project honors the legacy of Col. Puckett while fulfilling a critical regional need,” said Martha Ann Todd, President of Columbus Technical College. “The VECTR Center will be a beacon of opportunity, collaboration, and innovation, aligning education with workforce demands and supporting our military-connected populations every step of the way.”
The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m., at the future site of the facility located at 2329 Fort Benning Road, Columbus, GA 31903.
Elected officials, military leaders, and community members will be making remarks at the ceremony. There will also be a ceremonial turning of the soil to celebrate the beginning of construction.
The event is open to the public and will have on-site parking available.
