CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Memphis comedian was shot on Saturday night while in Charlotte for a tour.

Mario “Grove Hero” Bradley posted on his Facebook page on Sunday morning, saying he was shot and that he won’t be able to walk.

According to Medic, the shooting happened around 9 p.m. on Saturday on the 3300 block of Freedom Drive. Medic said one person was taken to a Charlotte hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Bradley, in the same Facebook post, said he was shot in the spine. He said he would be continuing the tour Sunday morning at the same spot where the shooting happened.

“I’m in a wheelchair… I’m going to the same spot, Charlotte, that I got shot in… I can’t even walk… The tour must go on,” Bradley said in a video.

According to his Instagram page, his “For My People Tour” was in Charlotte on August 7-9. His next stop is in Gaffney, South Carolina, on August 10.

Police have not said what led to the shooting or if anyone is in custody.
